Shamanic Snuff – Tsunu Strong

Sacred Connection Tsunu Strong is our strong Tsunu blend. A Rapé made with Tsunu ashes and extra strong Arapiraca tobacco. Arapiraca is a city in the north east of Brazil, in Sergipe state. It is one of the main producers of the Nicotiana rustica natural tobacco. It comes in rope form on big rolls and they grow it naturally.

The Tsunu ashes were sourced from the Yawanawa tribe, who live in the Gregorio river tribal lands in the municipality of Tarauaca. The Yawanawa burn the ashes in an artisanal style from sustainably sourced wood.

Sacred Connection Tsunu Shamanic Snuff

Deep in the virgin forests of the Brazilian Amazon, since time immemorial the indigenous people living there have used their sacred plants for healing and prayer. Tobacco is one of the most sacred to them. From natives of the North American planes all the way to the tribes of the deep South there is no prayer without tobacco. They smoke it in pipes or rolled in tobacco leaves, they chew it or use it orally in paste as in the Colombian Ambil. They take it nasally in liquid form dissolved in. water or they sniff it in our beloved Shamanic Snuff.

Each of the Pano linguistic tribes has its own name for their Sacred Rapé Snuffs: The Yawanawa call it Rumã, The Shawãdawa have Rupusuti, the Huni Kuin call it Dume deske, the Katukina have Romo poto, the Kuntanawa and the Nukini also Rumã e por ai vai. We chose Sacred Connection Shamanic Snuff for our own line. It is Snuff and it is Shamanic.
