More about Huni Kuin Xipão Rapé Snuff

Xipão grows as a parasite on palm trees and has a very particular and beautiful smell. It is a rare herb that is hard to come by and is much sought after for its medicinal and spiritual uses. This is a traditional her used only by the Huni Kuin in their Rapé. The tribesmen also use it to threat flu and fever and to relieve breathing problems. Apart from that it has a calming effect, good for the nerves and relaxing the mind.

This sacred snuff is made with the ashes from the native cacao (Theobroma cacao) of the region. It grows normally in the lower parts close to the rivers where the ground is more humid. Cacao can be a help for cardiovascular heath. Rapé made with cacao ashes in general has a reddish color typical for this medicine. The cacao gives a particular force to the Rapé making it have a very typical energy.

This blend is a mystical force transporting you to the deep forest of the Amazon where the Huni Kuin live since time immemorial, a snuff made in their sacred tradition.

This Snuff was made by the people from Chief Siã from the Jordão region. We have a lasting partnership with Siã Sales with them sharing their medicines from the deep forest. They supply us not only with Rapé but also products such as Dragon’s Blood collected far into the forest.

Sacred Connection feels proud working together with Cheif Siã and his people bringing you the medicines of his tribe.
